It's so, round! and ... out there!...

But onto the news.

I have been something of a glutton for punishment.
Out of action again for the constant need to upgrade!

My most sincere apollogies! But I have no real update at all ... nothing even remotely funny has popped out of my brain ...

Well, I have been rather slack of late ...
And at the same time I've been rather buisy ...

I reformatted my PC to try out Fedora Core 5, the new you-beut Linux Distro from the red-hat community.
It was OK, but SuSE seems more complete to me.
The reason I wanted to change?
With the e-patents and such, not to mention DRM, SuSE went and crippled any player capable of running commercial DVD's ... this is because they use a descrambler to achieve this.
Descramblers are illigal in some countries.

I want to use my PC to watch my dvd's which I purchased legally, which is a legal activity.
Only I can't because SuSE has crippled the software.
I understand why, it just bothers me some.
I tried Debian, but it was taking WAY too long to get the bloody internet working!

So, I managed to miss the second update because I had a PC in OS-Limbo, self-induced.

The first ipdate was missed due to a veritable plethora of gigs. We, the Broken Arm, played 3 gigs over the weekend, thursday night was at the Zoo, Saturday was at the Alley and Tuesday night was at the Living Room.

The Living Room gig was for pushworth's.
The Pushworth's boss came in on our set and he was mightily impressed. W00T.
So we should be getting some actual gigs from pushworth now...

When we get our image sorted out.

The Brand Spanking (TM) new VE Commodore arrived this morning!

Those who know me well, know that I don't like commodores, they are all pretty much ugly, to varying degrees.
But the new commodore is something different. It's a purdy car!
It's like the attractive love-child of a BA Falcon and a Mitsubishi 380.
Very tough looking flared guards ...
I only have to drive one now.
Can it be better than the 380? or the Falcon?
I hope I get a chance to see soon.

Well, today has been a really interesting day...

My awesomely cool sister has decided to promote the crud outta my band! Woot!
She's doing up postcard fliers and special 'Crew' jackets and all! Yeah!

We are playing at the Zoo soon, a support act for a Sydney band who's doing a tour. Should be way cool!

We also play "the Living Room" soon. That's the gig to be at. Should be a MONSTER!

But yeah, back to my day ...
More week ...
I had lost my licence (driving) due to my desire to drive really fast ... dumb thing to do really.
I was suspended for 6 months ... that sux.
I had thought my suspension was up midnight today ...
But no. I counted wrong.
I have a WHOLE MONTH to serve yet.

Dang.

I'l be updating whenever I can, I am to be at least once a week. It'll depend on my inspiration.
